The skin around my fingernails often gets dry and rough, sometimes splitting and becoming sore. any rememdies for this?

Emollients: often this occurs in winter due to dryness , moisturizers will help; also frequent washing with harsh soaps can contribute. mild soaps and following washes with moisturizers will benefit. also try not to pick or scratch the areas .
