Depends...: This is a simulation of ovulation. When you ovulate, your progesterone level rises for around 10 days and then drops. Taking Provera (medroxyprogesterone) (progesterone) for 10 days does exactly the same thing. It is used for a number of different reasons. It can be used to make you stop bleeding if you are already bleeding; or it can make you have a period; or it is also a diagnostic maneuver. Best wishes!
