Enlarged tonsils: The terms lymphoid hyperplasia with mucosal exudate usually refer to enlarged and reactive appearing tonsils in the back of your throat. If the enlarged tonsils remain enlarged for a long time, you may need to be seen by an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist to make sure that your findings don't represent something else.
