Is it true that breastfeeding is a form of contraception?

Not dependable: While it is true that breastfeeding mothers may not ovulate for quite a while, it is not a dependable form of contraception. If exposed, a breastfeeding mother can also be pregnant again without ever having menses after her last baby. If trying to avoid pregnancy, do a little work, or be ready for another.
