Mamography: Mamographic examination may be uncomfortable but the discomfort more than makes up for the efficacy in cancer detection.

See your Doctor: Breast cancer does not usually present with pain. Most women have a mass that is not painful. If you feel something abnormal in your breast, see your physician. They will perform a clinical breast exam and then recommend the appropriate imaging (usually a mammogram or ultrasound).
