Not usually.: Over eating combined with a very poor oral hygiene, infected gums,or oral infections,throat infections,ear infections, which can be passed on through salivary ducts to salivary glands can lead to salivary gland infections, & hence the swelling.The other reason can be salivary stones,if the block the ducts. At meal time, when salivary glands produce saliva,the glands swell up.

Not directly.: Overeating in and of itself would not cause swollen salivary glands. Some people with bulimia will self induce vomiting after eating, and the vomiting could lead to swollen glands.
