Corneal protection: Tarsorrhaphy is a minor surgical procedure in which the upper and lower lids are connected with sutures and tissue manipulation. It is done to protect a cornea that is ultra dry, or in certain injuries, in some diseases and in forward bulging of the eye. It car be partial or complete depending upon the cause. When the problem clears, it can be undone.
