Could someone describe the difference between arthritis pain and say overuse pain, i'm trying to decide whether i actually have arthritis?

Mayb splitting hairs: Arthritis means "joint inflammation". We commonly use this term to mean degeneration of a joint which happens to everyone. Joint deterioration itself however, doesn't cause pain until inflammation is produced. This typically happens with "overuse". As a joint really deteriorates, inflammation (and pain) may become present even at rest. Overuse injuries/inflammation can also affect tendons.

If bad, see doc: If the pain is bad enough that you'd be willing to take treatment for it, then see a doctor rather than rely on the opinion of an amateur (yourself). No description here is a substitute for that. If your pain is not bad enough that you'd be willing to take treatment for it, then it doesn't matter what the cause is.
