? not infection: Testicular atrophy after an infection is not likely unless you have mumps orchitis. Testicular torsion incorrectly diagnosed as infection is more likely. Other testicle needs to be fixed to scrotum if 1 testis underwent torsion because torsion occurs in a so called "bell-clapper" testis which is usually present on both sides. Thus other testis is at risk for torsion. Suggest U consult a urologist.
