Rib cage: The problem may be a pinched intercostal nerve which runs between two ribs. This pain is usually sharp and worse with a deep breath and radiates around the rib cage but not usually down the arm. See your physician if this symptom persists and he/may order an x-Ray of the rib cage and lungs for further evaluation.
