A member asked:

Almost everyday all of a sudden i get so tired that i have to lie down for a while (same situation before taking antidepressant). what might it be?

What time of day?: The answer to this would require a bit of detective work. High carbohydrate meals can cause a blood sugar drop a couple hours later that can leave one feeling drained and tired. Missing meals can have a similar effect. Sleep deprivation or sleep apnea also can cause severe fatigue. Hormone levels change throughout the day, and it is common for people to feel the need to nap in the afternoon.
