Urine test for sugar: These were used to test the urine for glucose before home blood sugar testing became widely available. Tests for urine glucose are less helpful because they don't show anything unless blood sugar is over 180, and because they show what the blood sugar has been since the last time someone urinated, instead of what the sugar is right now.
