A member asked:

Which pills are better for diabetes insogen plus or diabinese?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The same: Insogen & Diabinese are both brand names for an older med called chlorpropamide, and are the same. It is seldom used due to its very long duration of action, and more frequent and severe low sugar episodes compared to newer medications with shorter activity patterns. Insogen plus also has a second medication, metformin, making it stronger, but also more likely to cause lows.
