Costochondritis: Possibly inflammation at the joint between your rib and breastbone. You can push on those joints and see if they are tender. If so, see if ibuprofen relieves it. If they are not tender your primary care doc may want to get a chest x-ray to exclude inflammation of the lining around your lung "pleuritis" and other causes.
