Uterine lining: For a variety of reasons, a GYN will take a tissue sample of the lining of the uterus. This is frequently done to be sure that there aren't any worrisome cells present. The tissue sample is frequently referred to as endometrial currettings. The method used to sample the uterus is called an endometrial biopsy or a D&C (dilation and currettage). Good luck.
