PremenstrualSyndrome: Your symptoms sound like PMS or premenstrual syndrome with quite significant symptoms. Please see your Gynecologist or Family Physician to discuss treatment options, Keep a menstrual symptom diary of your symptoms and how severe they are and what day your menses starts and finishes. There are many treatments available today. Go to www.nih.gov or www.nccam.nih.gov for excellent information.

What is the concern?: If your concern is pregnancy -use a home pregnancy test to evaluate. These tests can indicate pregnancy as soon as the 1st day of a missed period, but are most accurate if you use them about 1 week after the expected period. If this is not your concern , and you do not improve quickly in how you feel overall see your MD to evaluate your situation.
