A member asked:

Do ciloxan (ciprofloxacin) ear drops hurt?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not usually: These drops are antibiotic drops and usually do not hurt. You must rule out a perforated ear drum because the middle ear mucosa may be irritated if there is no middle ear infection. If there is no perforation, it is possible that this may be an allergic reaction. We need to know why you are using the ear drops and what the diagnosis has been given to you for this treatment.
