Otitis externa: Have you been swimming recently? It might be a swimmer's ear (otitis externa) which is a local skin infection of the ear canal. It could also just be a skin infection formed by clogged pore, kind of like a small abscess. I would apply a topical antibiotic like neosporin to the area 3x/day. If it is not improving then you should see the doctor.
