Not usually: It is important to note the meds do not usually. If you are having anal intercourse, it is more likely infection that is causing this. You need to see your doctor for the HIV meds and find out what is the doctor's suggestion. If no specific answer, then need to see GI doctor. Best wishes.

Need STD check: Anal discharge in persons who are having receptive anal sex ("bottom" in typical gay male terminology) often is due to STD, especially gonorrhea, chlamydia, or herpes (if painful). Various non-STD problems also can do it. HIV itself does not, nor do HIV treatments. Speak with your doctor, the local STD clinic, or a rectal medicine specialist (proctologist, colon/rectal surgeon, etc).

Discharge: No HIV medicine that I know of causes anal discharge. This needs to be investigated because it sounds like an STD (gonorrhea frequently presents like this). This should be swabbed and cultured. Possible a colorectal surgeon for anoscopy.
