No worries: It is normal to have a cyst in the first trimester--it is called a corpus luteum and it helps to sustain a pregnancy thru the first trimester. You can't make it shrink on its own & we don't take those cysts out; we just monitor them. How big is the cyst? Make sure your OB is monitoring that it doesn't twist on itself (ovarian torsion). Corpus luteums typically resolve on their own.
