Yes.: That's the short answer. Yes you can have cycles that are shorter than the typical 28 day length. This is especially true for young women, athletes, and those who travel or who e had a recent febrile illness. Some women have what seems to be a period and then discover they are pregnant. So take a home test to be sure. Many women ovulate at day 8 or 9 rather than day 14. Ask your GYN at next appt.
