A member asked:

A sharp pain in the buttock maybe the anus or in the rectum what does this means?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: This could be an infection, a pilonidal cyst, a rectal spasm, hemorrhoid or tear/fissure. I would suggest an exam by your doctor if this pain persists.
