Discuss with doctor: Best to discuss with your treating doctor. For my patients whose blood pressure is well controlled, we do try sometimes to slowly reduce their dose of medication and see how they do. Not unreasonable to try, just not on your own. That depends upon: Why you were prescribed that particular medicine. In this case, the best person to ask is your prescribing physician. There are reasons to prescribe spironolactone even when blood pressure is normal, or to keep blood pressure significantly below normal. Without knowing your complete medical history, it's not possible to make a clinical judgement. So, boiling this down, you need to talk to your doc
