A member asked:

Are tampons safe to use? are there any associated risks?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Generally very safe: with the exception of leaving it in too long or forgetting about it- can cause infection or toxic shock syndrome. Just be sure to change the tampons regularly and 1-3 times/day depending on your flow.
