Yes: It is not a common side effect, but Trazodone can cause nervousness or unusual excitement. I would like to see that you get a psychiatric evaluation for any manic behavior besides the rapid speech.

Possible: If you have just started this med, it certainly might go away. Frequently "side effects" from a anew medication can go away in the first 10-14 days of the med start If it does not go away, then talk with your health care provider about the dosage.
