No connection: Your spouse may have an inflammation of her thryoid which needs treatment however her muscle spasms are most likely not related. However, ask the Doctor who is following her for her thyroid condition if he/she may wish to get some muscle studies and a serum Calcium level to r/o other "autoimmune" conditions.
