What are eyedrops similar to alrex (loteprednol)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

None exactly: Alrex (loteprednol) is a very light duty topical steroid. It has minimal effects and minimal side effects. It is rather expensive and is heavily promoted by the maker. There are no exact equivalents although the conditions treated have alternates. The principal use is in allergic disease of eye surface and there are multile anti-histamines for this purpose. Some of the current uses for Alrex (loteprednol) are illogical.
