Gastritis Maybe: Zinc, particularly in high doses (over 60 mgs) can cause stomach irritation. Even low doses of Zinc can cause stomach irritation but is less likely to do so. Zinc should be taken with food when used to help prevent this side effect. If you think you have gastritis, it is important you discuss this with your physician as gastritis has many causes and should not just put down to having taken Zinc.
