Keep an open mind...: A teen, upon reaching 5-feet tall, weighs ~100 pounds. Thinner teens can weigh 90 pounds at 5-feet, and that is ok. At 5-feet and 2-inches, one needs to be ~100 pounds. It's a nice even number, 100 pounds. We pediatricians care for kids of all ages, and a 3-year-old child eats 1000 calories a day. They are barely over 3 feet tall, and weigh less than 40 pounds... just some food for thought.
