Ultrasound: pregnant: It may be a problem if this is done late in pregnancy, but if less than 20 weeks pregnant, the body is routinely less advanced than head (biparietal diameter) size. Only later in pregnancy is the disparity between body and head size worrisome. Ask your obstetric provider to give you details, which depend on when the ultrasound is done in pregnancy.
