Colitis: If the colon is severely inflamed and swollen,it can irritate the urinary bladder because they are located close together in the lower abdomen. Make sure to have your physician aware of these symptoms as they may reflect ongoing infection requiring antibiotic and strict dietary treatment and close follow-up.
