Short period: If the "9 days" occurred after a 5-6 day bleeding episode, it is now day 14, and ovulation can produce abdominal cramping. Sometimes a double ovulation can occur, which has twice the hormone production and the estrogen level falling just before ovulation will produce cramps almost the equal of your period. Get an HCG serum pregnancy test to be certain you are not pregnant in about ten days.
