Vocal cord dysfcn: The first condition that comes to mind is vocal cord dysfunction, where they close creating a blockage of the airway when you are trying to get air. It takes working with a speech pathologist to learn how to relax the voice box during these sporadic events, that can strike suddenly during exercise.
