Please return to: The HCP that prescribed the Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) and report your suspected correlation of your symptoms and this antibiotic. Are you also on others meds? There is a chance there is a relationship to the medication. I have seen yeast infections develop with antibiotic and this could be your problem. A follow up is needed. Good luck.

Rarely, but: people may develop mouth sores after taking antibiotics. Canker sores are small sores that appear on the inside of the mouth, the cheeks, the inside of the lips, the tongue and anywhere on the gum. Canker sore is the most common oral lesions. Individual ulcers typically last 1-2 weeks.
