I have mono and now i have an infected back molar. since i can't go to the dentist can a doctor help me?

Go to the dentist.: Your dentist wears a mask, gloves and washes his/her hands frequently. No one knows how long mono is contagious.You can't go untreated for months. If you broke your arm you'd go get that fixed even if you had mono wouldn't you? Call your dentist and talk it out. They may want you to come late in the day to avoid exposing others. They should be able to help you. If not, find another.

No: Would you ask your Dentist to treat a broken arm? Physicians are not trained to treat infected teeth. Please call your Dentist and discuss your problem. With Universal Precautions in place you can safely and effectively be treated by your Dentist.
