It is protein: the reason we emphasize on chicken the white meat without the skin specially grilled is full of protein with the least amount of fat if you have another source of protein with low fat like fish it will be alright we do get concern about the red meat because it does have higher percentage of fat so eat what ever you want the chicken will love you

Not Necessary: to eat chicken. But it is necessary to have a protein source in your diet. Even if one were to make the choice to be a vegetarian you must have protein. If you are not a vegan, but you don't like chicken then any other protein source is fine such as beef, pork, turkey, fish, etc.

Chicken healthy?: Chicken (not fried) is s good source of lean protein, like turkey, pork and fish. Fish (not fried) would be best as it contains lean protein and heart-healthy fats. All would be better than red meat as a regular source of protein.
