First examine diet: Theree are many foods that commonly cause constipation which is having too little water in the stool. The most common are rice (all of the grains like barley, oats, etc.) milk, bananas. If they are part of your diet eliminate them for 3-4 days and your problem will probably go away. Yes, the medicine can cause the problem but diet is much more likely.
