Working out and felt a pull underneath my right rib cage, thought it was a pulled muscle now i'm nauseous and short breath. rib cage feels fine tho?

Chest wall pain: Muscle pain just beneath or around the rib cage is very worrisome but typically reassuring. If you weren't working out and pain developed I would be more concerned. Try rest, ice, advil, Tylenol (acetaminophen) and if worse pain see your doctor.

Usually not serious.: I do not think it is a related issue. Do you take any prescribed or street drugs? If you feels choked or severe shortness of breath, you might need to have a chest x-ray to rule out air leaking inside the chest. However, the chance is very minimal
