Follow up..: This requires follow up testing(repeat test). We would also need to know about other symptoms like elevated blood pressure, swelling, headaches which may be indicators of preeclampsia.Isolated protein in urine and no other symptoms require follow up. Make sure you rest well and see your OB provider as recommended. If feeling sick go to the ED for immediate evaluation.

Protein in urine: 30 mg of protein in a urine sample is not bad. Pregnancy can bring an increase in protein in urine. The essential data now for you are: what is protein/creatinine ratio-- a special order is required but this is a routine rest; and what is your BP doing; and what change is happening, or not, with urine protein/creatinine ratio and your BP week by week going forward. Track these. REST a LOT now.
