Rib muscle strain: probably related to strain of the muscle between your ribs and yes, quite painful. i advise Advil or Aleve (naproxen) if not allergic, Myoflex cream and the use of a gym ( halter )bra. No heavy lifting or bending.Figure at least 7-10 days more.

Strain?: If you had been throwing up a lot and now with rib cage pain this could be related to a muscle strain after the effort made while retching. If you are not vomiting any longer and not having abdominal pain put ice on the area, you may also take anti-inflammatory(like ibuprofen) meds if not allergic. However, if still feeling sick make sure you see your doctor for exam and final diagnosis.

Bruised: you most likely bruised your ribs during the vomiting you can try heat bad on the painful site and take ibuprofen 600-800 mg every 6-8 hours and rest not any better see your PCP
