A member asked:

I have had full blood tests done and the results have come back borderline what does this mean ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Reference range: Laboratories establish reference ranges for test results which reflect the normal spectrum, from high to low, for results of most healthy people. The results of some healthy people will fall outside the reference range. "borderline" results may reflect this variation in healthy people or may signal a result worth watching over time. Your doctor will correlate the results with your overall health.
