Perioral dermatitis: This cyctic nodule will require a stronger prescription creme than the over the counter acne creams. I usually use retin-a , in combination with doxycycline twice a day, which works well to clear up bacteria implicated in cyctic acne. Retin-a exfoliates the skin. Don't pick, you may worsen scarring. Both of these medications are available by prescription.
