Normal variant: First few cycles after removal of implantable contraceptive may be heavier bleeding due to hormonal imbalance. Your body needs to reboot itself. If bleeding lasts more than a week or continues to be very very heavy seek medical attention. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!

Clots + urgency: With an irregular cycle, you may have heavier periods with the production of clots due to build up of endometrial lining. Excessive bleeding and urge to urinate can result from STD's as well.
