Have had swollen tonsils and uvula since saturday. now my tongue has bumps and hard to swallow. just got done with antibiotics on oct. 10 for strep.

Recheck in office: If you finished the full course of antibiotic, then you should be rechecked. Mono remains a possibility, and the antibiotic would not shorter the course. And in my experience about 25% of mono patients can also have strep. Get rechecked in the next few days. Good luck

Enlarged tonsils +: Please return to your physician or visit an urgent care walk in clinic or small ER. Difficulty swallowing is worrisome. Could be mononucleosis enlarging your tonsils and lingual lymph tissue at the back of your tongue, but cannot rule out recurrent strep throat.
