About once a month i have ear aches and discharge from one ear at a time, lasting a few days in each ear. going on for over a year now.

Otorrhea: Causes of ear discharge are many, and include the following: bacterial/viral/fungal infections of the canal or parotid gland, chronic middle ear infection with perforation, neoplasms or other masses, dermatitis, cholesteatoma, granulation tissue, mastoiditis, etc. In short, recurrent ear discharge should be evaluated by an otolaryngologist (ENT)!
