Likely, yes: BCP's can increase BP, especially in individuals who are overweight,, although less with the low estrogen pill. Other meds like ibuprofen and naprosyn (naproxen) are also culprits. I recommend serial BP's to confirm if this is consistent or a one time measurement, as pain, nervousness, etc. can all have an effect.
