How do you tell the difference between an inflamed spermatic cord an a inguinal hernia?

Similar discomfort: But, the hernia will almost always have a lump or protrusion in the groin area where intra-abdominal structures herniate thru the internal inguinal ring. An exam by a surgeon will be able to tell the difference. Be well!
