Cramps w/o period: Severe cramping without bleeding can mean most commonly either a large clot is blocking the flow of blood from the womb (and the cramps are similar to labor cramps in an attempt to force the clot out), or a cyst in your ovary which is similar pain but precedes the breaking of the cyst,. There are other causes, so if this persists, see your healthcare provider.
