Im 16 i used to never get cramps during my period. however in the last 2 years ive been getting bad cramps in the beginning of my cycle. ive also begun throwing up sometimes when it start and i feel weak is this normal?should i get it checked out?

See your gynecologist and discuss your symptoms (write them down and bring to visit with you). You may benefit from NSAIDs, or possibly need help controlling your cycle.

If you can deal with the cramps by taking ibuprofen or naproxen and trying a heating pad, you can wait another month or two to be seen by a doctor. If you are missing school or work and have severe pain or persistent vomiting, you need to be seen right away. Periods can change and become better or worse over time.
