Usually: one is safe from pregnancy during menses. However, nothing is impossible. The only way to know for sure if you are pregnant which is said over and over on this site is to take a test either a home test or a blood test in the doctors office.

Very unlikely: I expect it's not 100%, but it's close - that you are not pregnant. You can do a test or have an exam to confirm this and discover any other cause of the shorter period - but 4 days is not abnormal for some. An irregular cycle every now and then can be normal - but an exam will help find any problem. Relax and if you don't want a baby or STD - ALWAYS use protection. Watch for next period. Best!
